Today our children welcomed Ms Comerford, founder of Hebburn Helps, to speak in our school assembly. Ms Comerford thanked the children for choosing Hebburn Helps to receive all of the recent Harvest Festival donations.
Ms Comerford told the children all about the people that Hebburn Helps support. Demonstrating great citizenship the children have decided to launch an appeal to collect blankets and hot water bottles to be given to the elderly people in our community to keep them warm this winter.
Our marvelous student council representatives will lead this appeal in school.

We welcomed our wonderful reception parents/carers into school this week for a special storytime workshop. Mrs Flynn shared information about how we support children in reception with phonics and early reading/writing. Ideas were shared with parents/carers about how they can support their children at home. Our reception children then joined us to explore some of these interactive learning opportunities with their special adults. We loved having the opportunity to share our learning in school, and want to thank all of our fantastic parents/
