Year 2 – Den Building

Our focus was creating mini habitats and human habitats/dens. The children had great fun and showed resilience and engagement!

We discovered some amazing and gross facts about woodlice and we absolutely loved eating smores around the campfire. YUM YUM!

Year 3/4 – Dragon Clay/ Making bread

Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic time enjoying the sunshine in Forest School this morning! Children made clay dragon sculptures as part of our Dungeons & Dragons topic, modelling the clay and using natural resources from around the site to print scales on to the models and create a nest for the dragons.

They also made dough for damper bread using flour, sugar and water which was cooked over the fire on willow branches. The children foraged for and stripped the bark from the branches before using them as cooking utensils. The children had a brilliant time and their behaviour was outstanding.

Well Done Year 4 and a BIG Thank you to Mrs Campbell for leading our activities!
